I tagged along with the Sunday Morning Hikes group to Castlewood Canyon. It’s a great park a little east of Castle Rock, CO. There are some great opportunities for some good photography (especially in early morning) and some really great hiking! I will return in a few weeks to do some more exploring.

I went up to Rocky Mountain National Park with the Outdoor Eyes Group last Saturday (9/22) to see if they elk would do a photo shoot. There were quite a few herds around in both the meadows and taking shade among the trees. A few of the highlights are below:

I headed back to RMNP with the Outdoor Eyes Group for another Photography Hike. This time we headed out to Bierstadt Lake and Sprague Lake. We also had some elk posing in the meadows of Moraine Park. All together I took 415 photos! Here are a few of the ones I’ve looked through:

A few weeks ago I headed down to the Garden of the Gods just outside of Colorado Springs. I attempted to get there for sunrise, but ended up not arriving until about an hour later. Still, there was plenty of warm morning light (my favorite light) for some good photos.
