Morning Fox

In addition to the red tailed hawk featured below, I also saw my two fox friends playing in the canal.

Morning Hawk

I was out walking along the highline canal and came across this red tailed hawk warming up in the rising sun. I downloaded the trail version of Adobe Lightroom last night and used it to brighten up some of the shadows on the second image, so you can see his/her face more clearly.

A Couple of Foxes

Last month I posted some pictures of a red fox that I had been trying to get some photos of since early fall. Last weekend I went for a walk on the highline canal path and discovered there are two foxes living near the horse farm. So, I saw this one first all curled up [...]

Butterfly Pavilion

Here’s a pretty good shots of one of the butterflies from yesterday’s trip to the Butterfly Pavilion.

Turtles at the Butterfly Pavilion

I was at the Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster today and had quite a challenge capturing the little buggers. I also got a few good shots of the turtles that were swimming in the little pond.

Snowshoeing at RMNP: Bear Lake to Bierstadt Lake

It was a rather cold day with blustery winds and blowing snow, which made it rather challenging for photography. My autofocus began to freeze up [...]

The Frogs

Another conversation I recently had led me to thinking about some of my photos. A colleague was talking about her interest in frogs and I got to thinking of the frogs I found a few summers ago hiking in Christman Wildlife Sanctuary in Delanson, NY. It was a very interesting day as the frogs jumped [...]
