Squirrely Houseguests

I was walking along the Highline Canal tonight and saw these squirrels hiding out in a birdhouse high up on a cottonwood tree.

Golden Gate Canyon at Sunset

I decided to head up to Golden Gate Canyon yesterday afternoon about 1.5 hours before sunset. Of course that’s only about an hour before the sun sinks below the Rockies. It was a nice short hike.

Warm Day on the Prairie

The land sloping down from my apartment complex is filled with prairie dog borrows. There must be about two to three dozen of them. We had a warm day on Saturday (50+ degrees) and many of the dogs were running about and barking like crazy!

A Hazy Shade of Winter

What was a fairly clear morning turned into a lot of blowing snow during much of the day. This photo was taken at the end of the day as things began to clear up.

More Butterflies

I just finished going through the rest of the photos from my trip to the butterfly pavilion last month and thought I’d post a few of them.
