Bighorn in RMNP

After nearly a year of hoping to see them, and many failed attempts at trying to find them, I finally came across some big horn sheep (a.k.a. Rams) on my way into Rocky Mountain National Park at the Fall River Entrance. There was a herd of about six or seven males with about four or [...]

Critters of Arches National Park

I’m not sure what kind of lizards these are, but they were all over Arches National Park earlier this month. The only lizards I found the Arches website was a western collard lizard and these little guys don’t look quite like them.

More Wildflowers from Hall Ranch

A few more of the wildflowers from the Hall Ranch hike last weekend.

Hall Ranch Hike Wildflowers

I was up in Hall Ranch for a 7-mile (approximately) hike with the Outdoor Eyes group yesterday morning. It was fairly warm, but a cool breeze picked up in the afternoon. There were quite a few wildflowers along the trail, which made for some good photos even in harsh light.

Cherry Creek State Park

I decided to take advantage of a gorgeous day and explore Cherry Creek State Park. Its a great park for biking as its relatively flat and has quite a variety of areas to bike through. After biking a few miles (about 6 or so), I headed out on foot on one of the trails that [...]

Albany Tulip Festival

The Albany Tulip Festival is this weekend and its the first time in four years that I haven’t been in Albany, NY to take some photos. A friend sent me a photo earlier today that she captured with her phone, so I thought I would post some of photos I’ve taken over the years.

Arches National Park - Landscape Images

Below are a selection of some of the landscape images I took last weekend hiking in Arches National Park in Moab, UT. The desert is quite an interesting place with fascinating colors. The sky that day was different than expected as it was rather gray and hazy.

Moab Wildflowers

Part of the reason for going to Moab was to look for some desert wildflowers, as its wildflower season here in the west. They are just starting to bloom in the lower elevations (i.e. about 5000 feet above sea level) and were looking quite nice in the desert sun on Saturday. My interest in photographing [...]
