While coming up from one of the swtichbacks along the South Rim Trail (Roxborough State Park) I saw a nice picture of Denver about 35 miles away. I went to college about 35-40 miles southwest of Philadelphia and there is no way you could see Philly from West Chester.

I visited Roxborough State Park again yesterday during our record setting 74 degree day. This time I took the South Rim Trail around the southern portion of the park. It was an interesting mix of hot desert sun beating down on you, extremely dry air, and walking in up to 1 foot of snow!

I decided to head up to Golden Gate Canyon yesterday afternoon about 1.5 hours before sunset. Of course that’s only about an hour before the sun sinks below the Rockies. It was a nice short hike.

I took a ride down to Roxborough State Park earlier today to check out a few trails. Roxborough is about 10 minutes further south than Chatfield State Park, which is about 10 minutes south of Littleton. I was rather impressed with the park!
